Commodore

Fall is already here and we just completed our last rendezvous for the summer season. It was a nice relaxing rendezvous. Thanks to all who worked so hard to make it successful. Also now that it’s fall our beautiful flowers are slowly withering away. I just want to give Pat Gallagher a huge thanks for all her hard work and time she contributed over the summer to make our club look so nice.

I want to thank all those who attended the Spaghetti Fund Raiser and to Barb Hanley for all her great food and hard work. We were able to raise just under $500 towards the past taxes. The support of the Mariners that participated was greatly appreciated.

The people who are interested in running for the Board & Flag for 2010 have been posted. I want to thank all those who are willing to step up and help the club out.  Verbiage from the Vice

Vice  Commodore
Tony Rea

Well fellow Mariner's, it looks like the Boating season has come to an abrubt end. As bad as the weather seemed all summer I think the Club and all its members made the best of it.  We had some awsome parties that I hope can continue on into the winter months. I would like to thank everyone that stepped up this Summer to host a Tiki Party.
Congrads to our new Married couples Steve & Robin and Sid & Mary Ann who also proved that we could host a Great Wedding at the Tiki Bar. Travis & Leshia did a great job this Summer on the 4 rendezvous. Come on down on Friday nights for dinner with friends & family. I will be scheduling a Halloween party and would like some feedback on maybe having it on Friday Night due to the fact that Halloween falls on Saturday. Don't forget to keep eveyone in your prayers including our Chaplain Ed Maluchnik.

“Signing Off” from the Vice, SEA you at the Club

 A message to the fleet...

Fleet Captain Travis Hotchkiss

I would like to start out by saying Leshia and I had a wonderful summer working with everybody on our rendezvous we feel we made some great new friends. The frost bite was a rocking good time with the help of our members who did not allow a little rain to stand in their way of a good time and thanks to Lester Mateyak for cooking those wonderful ribs we all enjoyed. The summer went by much to fast for my liking but isn’t that the way it always seems.  Our boats are getting ready to be shrunk raped and winterized so we must think ahead to fall and winter so if anyone wants to have a party let Tony or me know. I would like to thank everyone who helped with rendezvous and tiki parties this summer. The list is long so bare with me Roger & Darlene Mateyak, Denny & Clair Luedtke, Tony & Lisa, Lester & Jane Mateyak, Dennis Hawkins, Terrible Tom Donahue, Bob & Judy Williams,  and Jack & Cindy Lobaido, Jim Bush and son in law Eddie without any of these people the summer fun would not have been possible. Remember October 10th we are having the Misty fund raiser so please come out and help a Mariner in her time of need. The fun starts at 5pm. Once again THANK YOU all for helping and attending all of this summers events and making them the fun they were.

Your Fleet Captain Travis Hotchkiss

From the Buoys Belles  …

The next Buoy's Belles meeting will be held on Thursday October 8 at 7:00pm. We will be nominating/electing officers for next year. Please make every effort to attend as we did not have enough participation at the September meeting to begin the nomination process. We are an organization who supports both Mariner's and the community and hopefully, we can continue to do so with support from the membership. There are no attendance requirements for meetings. Just come, participate, enjoy yourself and help the Club. Hope to see you Thursday!

Karen Rae
Buoy's Belles President

Chaplain Ed Maluchnik,

Our deepest prayers and condolences are sent to Jane and Dennis Trombley and their family for the loss of her son and his brother. Please continue to send prayers for Barbara Burns.

I would like to thank all of you who have sent cards and all of you who have sent prayers. Through the course of the accident, I have found out that I have lung cancer. I am not sure what they are going to do with it just yet. This will be my last term as Chaplain since I will be quite busy with treatments of some kind. I am proud to have been your Chaplain for the last nine years and hope someone steps up to take my place. I do plan on retaining my membership and hope to see all of you at the club. Please continue to send prayers.

This is the sad time of the year when the boats get put away until next spring. I hope the weather will be a little kinder to us next season.

Thank you to all who have kept me informed with members in need of prayers.

Chaplain
